The “Erasmus+ Coordinators Meeting” organized by our University’s International Relations Office was held with broad participation. The program, held at the Rectorate’s Mimar Kemaleddin Hall, was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Necdet Hayta, International Relations Office Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Aslıhan Selcen Bingöl, coordinators, academic staff, and guests.
In his opening speech, Vice Rector Prof. Necdet Hayta provided insights into the history of the Erasmus+ program. He pointed out that Erasmus+ Days have been celebrated worldwide since 2017 and that they were celebrated at our University for the first time in 2021. Highlighting that the Erasmus+ program offers significant opportunities not only for academic development but also for personal growth, Vice Rector Prof. Necdet Hayta noted that Erasmus+ agreements have been made online since 2021. Vice Rector Prof. Necdet Hayta emphasized that the current status of Gazi University would be discussed at the meeting, and stated that their goal is to elevate our University’s position within the Erasmus+ program. He concluded his speech by expressing this ambition.
Following the Vice Rector’s speech, International Relations Office Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Aslıhan Selcen Bingöl underlined the importance of the Erasmus+ program for our University. She emphasized that the Erasmus+ program is crucial for the internationalization of the University and also significant for research universities. After providing a brief overview of the Erasmus+ program, Assoc. Prof. Aslıhan Selcen Bingöl thanked those who contributed to the organization of the event and concluded her remarks.
After the opening speeches, Instructor Aslı Eken delivered her presentation for the Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinators.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session.
